What Is In The Homeschool Store
As you can see this blog has an Amazon Homeschool Book Store, and it also has a few slide shows of books that links the viewer to Amazon. The Homeschool Store front has some stock items supplied by Amazon as well as items I hand pick from Amazon. I add to the Homeschool Store on a continual basis, so please check back for new offerings. It is a huge job to organize, but fun too. The items I hand pick for the Homeschool Store range from toys, puzzles and kits to books that I own or would like to own and items I thought would be useful to a homschool family. I try to cater my offerings to the wide variety of philosophical approaches in the homeschooling community.
How Amazon Works
The way Amazon works is if you, the viewer, click on an item that interests you. You are then linked to Amazon. From there you check out the item; however, the rub in all of this for me is if you navigate away from the linked page and purchase the item at a later time. When this happens I lose the finders commission of directing you to the item in the first place. The commission is far from spectacular at 4%, but pennies eventually become dollars. Simply put: If the item gets into you cart through a link from my blog I receive the commission, if on the other hand you randomly find your way back to an item that interested you then put it into you Amazon cart, I do not get the commission.
Your Comments
Please feel free to comment about this store front. Is it easy to navigate? would you prefer to have the categories arranged by another method than by grade? Does having an Amazon presence on this site bug you? I enjoy taking the time to carefully assemble items that I think might benefit a homeschool family. I value your comments, so please feel free to comment below.
Thank You,
Iris
